Conclusion
Overall, both the quality and performance of the multifunction printers offered by the different manufacturers are good. Certain top-of-the-line products stand out in terms of quality - especially the Pixma MP780 from Canon and Epson's Stylus Photo RX620 - but the more basic models also hold their own in terms of the quality/price ratio. The biggest differences are in the area of cost of use, so we must re-emphasize that it's not a good idea to consider only models with a low purchase price. A multifunction that costs more to buy will offer more possibilities and may well turn out to be cheaper to use overall.
