Tests
Tests
The tests we performed were the standard ones, printing out texts and composite documents, in monochrome and in color, and at standard resolution, draft, and high definition. They are described in detail here . We added the task of printing around 20 photos 4 x 6 in (10 x 15 cm) and A4 in size, in color and in black-and-white. We also printed a color chart with each machine.
For easier evaluation of the sometimes disparate qualities of the printed pages, they were digitized at 300 dpi and are shown here so you can make your own judgment. This time, we used one of the best scanners currently available, Epson's Perfection 3200.

If your screen is not calibrated, you can limit distortion by adjusting the brightness and contrast on your monitor so that you can clearly see the 20 shades of gray shown below. With a properly calibrated screen, the reproductions of the digitized images on the following pages will be of much better quality.
