The widely reported news of MSN's HighSpeed satellite service, launched this month in the US, left out one important detail. It won't work on your computer, not at least until sometime next year. Potential customers were reportedly surprised to find out that, in order to purchase StarBand Communications Inc. satellite Internet access, they were required to buy a preconfigured Compaq computer from RadioShack.
