MSI's 645 Ultra 333 Motherboard for DDR 333

Future-proofing your computer so you can upgrade to the latest and greatest technology as it comes about is nearly impossible. Luckily, most of us get so excited about new technology we spend first and think later. If you're planning on moving up to DDR 333 memory in the months to come, here's the first mobo that supports it. MSI's 645 Ultra 333 has a 400MHz front side bus along with support for DDR333 if you're looking for a home for your socket 478 P4. Other features include an MSI D-Bracket hardware monitoring device that has a combination of 4 LED light signals that are either green or red, representing 16 different troubleshooting functions; MSI Live Driver, which automatically downloads and updates your device drivers; MSI Live BIOS, which checks your BIOS version and automatically links you to the latest downloadable BIOS version; and MSI Fuzzy Logic 3, which is supposed to automatically clock the CPU to its peak performance via AI. The nuts and bolts of the ATX board include an SiS 645 Chipset. (North-Bridge 702 BGA), support for 64-bit P4 processors at 400MHz, 32-bit AGP 4x/2x, 64-bit DDR 333/DDR 266/PC 133 memory controller, and bi-directional 16 bit data bus with 533MHz bandwidth MuTIOL. It's also got the SiS 961 Chipset (South-Bridge 371 BGA), support for dual-IDE ATA 66/100, a six port USB controller, AC'97 link controller, networking MAC controller with standard MII interface, three 184-pin DDR DIMM sockets for up to 3GB of RAM, one CNR connection, five PCI (v2.2) 32 bit Master PCI bus slots, one floppy port, two serial ports, one parallel port that supports SPP/EPP/ECP modes, one IrDA connector for SIR, and one audio/game port.
