MS to take D out of OS
Microsoft says that it will move its Windows product line away from the DOS based code that has been at the heart of the Redmond company's consumer software for years. With the release of a beta version code-named Whistler in October, one month after the scheduled release date of Windows Millennium, Windows will convert to the more stable NT code that runs Microsoft's corporate product line.
