MS shows Windows Datacenter
Microsoft has released its Windows 2000 Datacenter for high-end servers. Manufacturers, including Compaq Computer, Dell Computer, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, IBM and Unisys, are selling machines running Datacenter for the management of e-commerce as well as science applications. The product is meant to compete with Unix and, along with the software, Microsoft announced extensive support services for users.
