MPAA sued for hacking
P2P outfit Torrentspy is suing the Motion Picture Association of America for hiring a hacker to steal information from it.
The hacker was a former associate of Torrentspy and was apparently approached by an MPAA executive and asked to retrieve private information on the outfit. The MPAA allegedly paid the man $15,000 to steal e-mail correspondence and trade secrets.
