Multifunction

Reading MP3 files is just one of the numerous functions of this audio player. It supports several file formats in addition to MP3, including WMA, ASF and OGG. On the other hand, MP3 Pro files can't seem to be successfully decoded.

The iFP-890 also incorporates an FM tuner, which is relatively powerful and also benefits from automatic station detection (up to 20) and has no sound quality problem, even in a tunnel or cellar.

The iFP-890 also relies on its recording functions. Although the presence of a dictaphone isn't much of a surprise as there are so many around, the incorporation of a genuine encoder is worth mentioning because it makes it possible to store sound in MP3 format from any audio source. All you have to do is plug in to the line entry socket and define the quality level desired. In the quality area, the iFP-890 has few interesting assets. It incorporates a silence detector that is responsible for switching from one tune to another when recording. This makes it possible for the machine to put each tune in a different file that you may want to rename. The silence detector also operates in dictaphone mode. When the microphone hears no sound, recording automatically switches to pause.
