MP3 in the Fast Lane: Creative Labs MuVo TX : Time To Get A Move On
Time To Get A Move On

With memory capacity increased up to 512 MB, waiting for the PC to transfer our music files to the player can be like watching paint dry. Now, Creative has come up with the clever idea of upgrading its snazziest player to USB 2.0, and it really does make a difference. Now, the time it takes to transfer our 30 MP3 files totaling 100 MB has dropped from the 3 minutes 15 seconds of the MuVo NX to 54 seconds on the TX. On a 512 MB model, it will take just 5 minutes instead of 17 to fill the player, so you see what we mean. The MuVo TX comes in three versions: 128 MB, 256 MB and the 512 MB. Apart from the headphones, there are the significant changes compared to the NX. Those of you who have read our review of the NX already know all about it, but for the others, we have repeated and updated the NX test.
