A Classy Little Number
A Classy Little Number
For browsing and settings, the MuVo TX has an LCD display directly on the stick. This is small but perfectly clear due to its excellent contrast and nice blue backlighting. You get all the usual information in a digital display. The data comes up first, with the item itself and the time, playback, pause, then the title on a second line.

The controls are both simple and efficient. You get the usual stop/start combined with the play/pause function and two big volume controls which are very convenient because they are easy to find when you are on the move. Browsing can be done with the scroll wheel which takes you up or down the playlist and, if you press it, has a third function for the menu settings. So you can delete items, zap from one playlist to another and choose the playback mode (random, repeat, etc.).

In addition, you have access to a real equalizer. There are predefined settings but you can also set each level yourself and adapt the sound to suit your earphones and your taste. Henceforth, the USB key/MP3 player combination does not force you to compromise on ergonomics.
