MP3.com has settled with four of the five music giants that sued the Web site for providing streamed copies of music that users had previously purchased. Only Universal Music Group remains to be dealt with before the company attains clear legal status. Terms with Sony Music are not public but they may resemble those MP3.com made with BMG, Warner Music Group, and EMI, with MP3.com reported paying a $20 million to each label and agreeing to a fee each time a song is stored or streamed.
