Moves by some Taiwan notebook PC contract makers to cut MVA prices may hurt the industry
The hotly contested PC manufacturing business has prompted some Taiwanese notebook makers to slash manufacturing-value-added (MVA) price quotes to under US$30 per unit even though such moves hurt margins and depress prices industry-wide, industry sources reported.
