Motorola announces Bluetooth alliance
IBM and Toshiba will team with Motorola to offer Bluetooth wireless technology across parts of their PC lines.
Motorola also said it plans to introduce a Bluetooth-enabled car kit that will let users transfer calls via shortwave radio link between a cell phone and a car phone. The company said it expects to announce specific automotive Bluetooth contracts later this year.
