Moroccan press recommending fair trial for Zotob suspect
Though the translation from French into English is somewhat lacking, the French-language Moroccan daily « L’Economiste » is recommending that the upcoming trial for suspected Zotob virus writer Essebar be "built on intelligent debate to be conducted by jurists as competent in their field as the indicted is in computer science."
States an editorial, the case has "an important resounding," for it involves "strictly commercial" interests, implying perhaps that the interests of foreign corporations such as Microsoft should perhaps be viewed as secondary to the interest of the people of Morocco, who may find their country, ironically, just now becoming the spotlight of international press coverage.
