More Pentium IIIs on the way
Intel reportedly plans to release its new 850-MHz and 866-MHz Pentium III desktop processors on Monday.
The release comes less than two weeks after Intel's introduction of its 1GHz Pentium III processor - amid continuing shortages of both the 1GHz and 800-MHz chips.
While pricing has yet to be announced, prices on the rest of the Pentium III line are not yet expected to drop.
