City fines Time Warner Cable $25,000 for poor service
The city council of Moorpark, California has fined Time Warner Cable up to $25,000 for poor service in answering customer service calls, among other complaints.
The city council voted 4-0, with the mayor absent, to begin the process of fining the company up to $25,000 for failing to meet its service obligations. City councillors say that they have sent complaints to Time Warner but have not received a satisfactory response. "Time Warner has, for a period of time, not lived up to the obligations that are required for the citizens of this community," Councilman Keith Millhouse told NBC.
Time Warner spokeswoman Patti Rockenwagner replied "They voted to start the process. Once we receive formal notification, we will respond."
