Japanese probe captures first HD images of earth
The first high definition images of earth from the moon have been captured via a HD camera onboard moon explorer, Kaguya. The probe is also known as Selene Kaguya and has been orbiting 100km above the surface of the moon since the 16th of october.
A series of images released on tuesday document an Earth-rise and Earth-set as seen from the moon.
