Here are some recent headliners, newsmakers, teasers, players, posers and haters.

PlayStation 3: It's delayed. No, it's not delayed. It costs $800 per unit to make. Now wait, it will actually cost $800 to buy. There are so many different reports and rumours out there about the PS3 that I can't keep my head straight.

Here's my advice to Sony: take your time and get it right. Don't rush it out the door to meet some ridiculous launch date. It's not like the Xbox 360 is setting the world on fire right now. Your market will still be there in a year, and with more titles developed and ready for your killer console. Walk, don't run. Plus, why would you want to launch a new console with game sales sucking this year?

Intel shows off Woodcrest, but I'm curious. Now that the company has the intestinal fortitude and technical prowess to go head to head against AMD on the stage, shouldn't Intel be cutting Hector Ruiz and company a check for actually motivating the company to produce better products? I'm not talking about a big check, maybe a three percent finder's fee or something. Just a thought. Origami. Yawn. All that foreplay and no payoff? Microsoft tries to seduce me, "Basic Instinct" style, with their cute little Web site and video teaser. But the big unveiling at CeBit was just plain flaccid. Read more about Microsoft's and Intel's forthcoming ultra-mobile PC in TG Daily's spot-on assessment here. Take-Two Interactive got same bad news: Sales in its last quarter were about half of what they were for the same period last year. Plus, the company, which owns Rockstar and 2K Games, got sacked with a $29.1 million loss. Now I may be wrong, but I just don't see that hot new Xbox 360 Table Tennis game pulling Take-Two out of its nosedive.
