Play Modern Warfare 2 MP For Free This Weekend

If you don't already own Modern Warfare 2, then this weekend you're treated to a chance to play the latest Infinity Ward war shooter for free.
Starting Thursday, April 8, gamers on Steam can download and play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer free of charge during a special Free Weekend promotion. Even though the wonderful freeness hasn't started yet, those who want to get in as early as possible can begin pre-loading now.
For the rest of you who have been playing MW2 since last year… well, be prepared for an influx of newbies this weekend. It could be like shooting fish in a barrel.

What's amazing about a gimped down console port? As far as I am aware there is still a system of free speech, and if people want to continue complaining about the actions of a company they have supported over the years, then they are free to do so

Forget the console port... the game itself is pretty amazing.. it's not like it doesn't adapt well to ur graphic card or such annoying and more common console port problems. It's the stupid dedicated servers stuff.. big whoop.. yes it's not ideal and quite stupid of Activision to do so, but that doesn't mean u degrade the game itself. The game, no matter how much u deny is still one of the most revolutionary fps games of all time.. ignoring all the retarded tactics Activision has adapted ie overpriced DLC, no dedicated servers etc, it's actually a pretty good game.

Modern Warfare 2 is by far the biggest dissapointment in my memory of computergames. Lousy and linear singleplayer story which I completed in 4½ hours. Multiplayer so locked down and dominated by lousy P2P-connections where exploiters, haxxors and 13-yearolds roam freely. I'd rather smear honey on my privates and roll around in fireants, than spend anymore time on that sorry excuse of a game. COD4+5 ftw!
