Report: Modern Warfare 2 Delayed for PC
Gasp! Say it ain't so!
Modern Warfare 2 will undoubtedly be one of the biggest release for any of the platform that it'll be hitting this November. While it's been announced that there will be a massive onslaught of Call of Duty releases on November 10, UK site Electronic Theatre claims that the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has been pushed back by two weeks.
The website does not cite the source for its information, meaning we're still skeptical. The report does specify that the delay only affects the PC version and not the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions, and perhaps due to manufacturing constraints. Of course, with a publisher as large as Activision-Blizzard, DVD replication shouldn't be a concern.
The original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, however, was pirated on a massive scale on P2P networks, perhaps providing a slight reason for why the console versions should lead the PC release just enough to catch the first round of "gotta have it" sales.
Expect an official debunking or confirmation of this delay-talk very soon.

So close, yet so far.
i hope this isnt true. in a age of digital distribution, manafacturing problems shouldnt cause a delay to those willing to download.
if this happens ill have to buy the Xbox version, go thru that a few times (porbably do it on veteran before pc release) and then re-purchase the pc version.
maybe thats exactly why IW are doing this, to get saps like me to buy the game twice. theres no way in hell ill wait two weeks to play the game when its out, but im sure as hell not sticking with a console version for online play. and ill need it for my LAN parties...

It is true about all you ASSH0** that pirate games. Just buy the freaking things so developers will be more eager to produce games for us. If not consoles will get all the games. I hate people that pirate stuff.
I know it's been said hundreds of times, but people who pirate games wouldn't ever buy them...
...the people who want the games will always buy them. If the game is good enough, people will spend their hard earned £££'s to get the limited edition with night vision.
I'm sure there is an argument for piracy in that it may possibly increase the life of the game with more people playing online.
