Hackers Makes Modern Warfare 2 Ded. Server?
When news came that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would come without dedicated servers for the PC version, gamers were upset and disappointed at the removal of one of the advantages of the PC platform.
Some PC gamers even decided to boycott the game. Of course, that didn't seem to hurt sales too much as Modern Warfare 2 went on to become the fastest selling game in history. Clearly Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers weren't fazed by what was happening on the PC front.
Interestingly, and perhaps not too surprisingly, it appears as though some crafty PC gamers have been able to hack together a dedicated server for Modern Warfare 2, complete with mods such as superjumping and grenade spamming galore. So far all we have is a video of it in action, but we'll let you know if we hear more.

Shows there is abosoloutly no reason for the removal of dedicated servers. All this is possible on every other CoD game, yet hacking and shit was no problem.
It would be no problem now.
IWNET has been down atleast once since release too.

yeh,i agree with using dedicated servers,im not trying to say they should be removed,just that when other ppl using 3rd party software joins our servers they just ruin our game experience.like Battlefield,the day of today it's really hard to join a server and have a good time.

This has nothing to do with PC version not having dedicated servers... dedicated servers doesnt hurt anygame...it only helps.
this is just a mod!!! mod means i can mod the game to my taste...if its grenade spamming its grenade spamming,,, its not cheating...its a mod with grenade spamming!!!
Cheating is other thing, i hate cheaters...
This not supporting dedicated servers thing is killing PC gaming...now id software wants to do the same...i say "insert word here " that...
