The manufacturer QDI is especially well-known through its products on the Asian market, where all that counts is high quantities. Nevertheless, the quality of the products is very high and is comparable to those from Intel or Fujitsu-Siemens.

The showstopper on the QDI board is that the board can be split, so that it can then be used as a micro ATX board in compact housings. This means the user has to do without two PCI slots and the Serial-ATA RAID connections. OEM manufacturers are especially enthusiastic about this variability, as the board can be converted into two different form factors. THG tested the pluggable board (M2A01, Revision QB).

ATX becomes Micro ATX: an innovative feature from QDI.

A Serial-ATA controller is on the small board.
