The product comes with two Serial-ATA connections without a voltage adapter and a simple slot bracket without emphasized labels in addition to standard IDE cables. A positive noteworthy feature is the RAID controller for Serial-ATA and IDE from Promise. This manufacturer is not able to achieve the top spot in the performance test, but it achieves one of the highest rankings with the extremely stable board.

The useful AGP-LED has fallen victim to cost-cutting measures.

Our assessment in brief: without exaggerating, we can say that the P4C800 Deluxe is the least cost-effective board in this test. The sparse selection of features starts with the Gigabit LAN via PCI and the low-quality RAID controller (ICH5-R) and ends with the lack of sound outputs, which also cannot be optimally extended. For just under $200, the user obtains a stable board with high performance and the above-mentioned limitations.
