Mobo makers: Migration to 915 platform to speed up in Q2
With the recent introduction of low-priced motherboards built using Intel 915PL/GL chipsets by Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name for Hon Hai Precision Industry) and ASRock, the penetration rate for the 915 platform in the channel is likely to gain momentum starting in the second quarter, according to sources at Taiwan makers.
