Mobo makers eyeing consumer-related markets
Taiwanese motherboard makers are expanding into consumer electronics products like LCD monitors, PDAs and LCD PCs, in some cases using the same distribution channels they use for motherboards. However, they will face challenges in rapidly changing prices, inventory management and after-sales service.
