Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) remained the most profitable motherboard maker over the first three quarters of 2002 with an EPS of NT$4.4, followed by its first-tier counterpart Micro-Star International (MSI). Affected by a declining gross margin, MSI posted NT$4.15 in EPS for the period.
