The release of a new game deck is always an event in the video game world, but this time it is the manufacturer who is the surprise. After all, Nokia is not exactly a major player in this area. In the CRT and LCD monitor markets, for example, Nokia at one time put its toe on the water, but didn't stay too long in the monitor sector. You could even find Nokia TVs a few years ago, while it still does have its range of satellite receivers.
Most cell phones today offer gaming functions, and Nokia was one of the first to offer gaming phone features. However, the N-Gage is not a phone with games added, but a mobile gaming platform with phone functions added.
