by - source: Tom's Hardware

AMD just announced new mobile processors: the Athlon XP processors 2000+ and 1900+. HP and Fujitsu Siemens Computers were the first names on the sign up list for the new processors. In addition, Packard Bell, the consumer division of NEC Computers International, expects to offer systems based on the mobile Athlon XP 1900+ later this year.

The Compaq Presario 900 series notebook PCs featuring the new XP 2000+ are available today at retail stores in the United States and are expected to be available later this month directly through www.hpshopping.com . Also available today are the Fujitsu Siemens Computers in its AMILO A 6600/7600 7600 Series.

The XP 2000+ and 1900+ are priced at $345 and $239, respectively, in 1,000-unit quantities.
