These devices are designed mostly for corporate presentations, but every time I see one I think it would be way cooler to set up a home theater (and console game studio) with one. Mitsubishi's XD200 ColorView uses video processing technology known as Directional Correlational Deinterlacing (DCDi), invented and patented by Faroudja, a division of Sage Inc. DCDi is said to eliminate jagged edges that appear when standard interlaced video is viewed on progressive-scan displays, producing smoother video images. The projector provides 2000 ANSI lumens, weighs 6.6 pounds provides Mitsubishi's proprietary ColorView technology along with sRGB, a Microsoft color standard. ColorView also provides an independent color control function on six axes (red, blue, green, cyan, magenta, and yellow). If you want to add red into an image, you move a toggle bar and red is added to the image without influencing the other colors. The projector uses a 0.7" single-chip DLP Digital micro-mirror display device with a red, blue, green and white color wheel. The XD200 ColorView has an MSRP of $6,995, with a three-year warranty on parts and labor, plus a 90-day warranty on the lamp.
