Mitsubishi ups SRAM ante
Mitsubishi Electric Corp. has developed a synchronous static RAM chip capable of high-speed 500-MHz operation.
The chip is also nearly 100 times more resistant to cosmic rays, a common nuisance to users of mobile computers during airplane flights.
Mitsubishi says cosmic-ray-related PC malfunctions typically include data damage and loss.
