Mitac Technology scales down LCD TV business
Although recently circulated industry rumors imply that Taiwan-based Mitac Technology may quit the LCD TV OEM/ ODM business, the company stressed that it will continue competing in the LCD TV segment, despite its recent policy to turn down some orders.
The company mentioned that it has declined orders from customers if the profit potential was too small, with the consumer segment producing the lowest gross margins.
