Microsoft tabs Nvidia for X-box
Microsoft has selected Nvidia as the graphic chip provider for its upcoming X-Box.
Reportedly, Nvidia and GigaPixel were the two finalists with 3-D graphics technologies for the long-rumored device, designed to compete against Sony's new PlayStation2.
Microsoft chairman Bill Gates will officially announce the game console at the GameDevelopers Conference in San Jose, Calif., on Friday, with a product launch planned in time for the Christmas, 2001 selling season.
