Microsoft struggles with bug fixes
While Microsoft scrambles to produce a patch that will fix the IE security flaw that allows third-party websites to intercept cookies and, theoretically, exploit them to access email accounts at Hotmail or Yahoo Mail, BugNet has reported a security fix designed to close a DOS vulnerability in the MS Internet Information Server (IIS) versions 4 and 5 does not work. Microsoft has been unable to predict when a fix will be available for the IE cookie bug.
