Microsoft strips Longhorn of WinFS
Microsoft reportedly intends to ship Longhorn, its next version of Windows operating system, without WinFS, the next-generation file system.
According to media reports published today, the software giant is on track to shipping its next version of Windows OS code-named Longhorn in 2006. The company plans to launch the Longhorn server in 2007.
