Microsoft rebuffs Gorbachev in piracy appeal
Microsoft has ignored pleas for leniency for a Russian school principal who faces prison for using pirated software. Russian President Vladimir Putin and former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev have condemned the prosecution and asked for leniency. Microsoft says it has no part in the trial and says that the case was started solely by government prosecutors.
