Microsoft promises better security with upgrades
At the RSA Data Security Conference, Microsoft Corp. representatives announced an initiative aimed at eliminating the security bugs that have proven such an embarrassment for the company. Their "war on hostile code" aims to give users the ability to customize their systems while eliminating security holes. The first step, according to the manager of Microsoft's security response center is to do away with Windows 95, 98 and Me, presumably by selling all users the more secure Windows XP.
