Micronas introduces dual-tuner DVB-T ExpressCard 54 reference design
Micronas, a supplier of application-specific IC system solutions for consumer electronics, has announced the launch of the MicMamba 2D-XC, a dual-tuner DVB-T ExpressCard 54 reference design for PCI-Express-based notebook computers.
The MicMamba 2D-XC puts two independent tuners on a single card, allowing notebook users to watch one program while recording another and thus delivering full PVR (personal video recorder) functionality, the company said, adding that a notebook PC can now double as a portable TV or full media center.
