Micron samples faster DDR chips
Micron has been sampling 150MHz and 166MHz versions of 2MB x32 DDR memory chips.
Intended for high bandwidth applications, the 0.18 micron DDRs will function at speeds of 183MHz and 200MHz.
Company officials said the chips, intended for graphics and telecoms applications, will be available in volume by the third quarter this year.
