Micron scores number one for patents
Micron Technology, has risen to the number one position in the 2006 Patent Scorecard for the semiconductor industry, an annual qualitative appraisal of patents by the independent technology analysis firm ipIQ. In taking the number-one spot in ipIQ’s rankings, Micron’s patents came out ahead of those issued by such semiconductor industry big names as Intel, Samsung Electronics, Toshiba and Texas Instruments (TI), in what is intended to be an evaluation of corporate innovation.
