Micron Electronics Inc. has agreed to begin supplying Xircom's RealPort Cardbus Ethernet 10/100+ Modem 56 adapter with Micron's complete line of Transport notebook PCs.
The 32-bit multi-function RealPort Cardbus Ethernet 10/100+ Modem 56 adapter functions as a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface, 56K modem (using the V.90 or K56flex standard) and telephone handset pass-through.
Communications can take place across wireless channels or via standard RJ-45 and RJ-11 cables. The product is compatible with Windows 95/98, Windows NT, wireless GSM and AMPS cellular standards, among others.
