Micron Demos DDR333 SDRAM Platforms
Micron is making a world tour to show off its DDR333 SDRAM platforms, showing them off at the VIA Technology Forum in Taipei, Taiwan (September 4-5), Tokyo, Japan (September 7), Beijing, China (September 11), and Munich, Germany (September 13). All of the platforms will feature Micron's DDR333 SDRAM. Micron is demonstrating a chipset and system that uses DDR333 SDRAM memory modules and features a PCI-X bus, and a 64-bit PCI 2.2 bus. Micron says it designed it as a development chipset to enable system developers and designed the chipset, motherboard, and DDR SDRAM components and modules. Micron has worked with multiple motherboard suppliers to develop DDR333 systems and recently demonstrated the platform at the Intel Developer's Forum in San Jose. ALi is also showing off platforms that use Micron DDR333 SDRAMs.
