Micron's 18Mbit QDRII/DDRII SRAM first to volume shipments
Micron Technology announced on August 19 that it has begun volume shipments of the industry's first qualified 18Mbit quad data rate II (QDRII) and double data rate II (DDRII) SRAM, for use in network switches, routers and other communications applications. This announcement puts Micron ahead of NEC and Samsung, who have both announced volume production scheduled for this quarter.
