Memory-module makers could face a tough 2005

Compared to the previous two years, when the market demonstrated double-digit growth, an expected slowdown this year could mean a tough time for DRAM-module makers. For small players, it may be a challenge to survive. recently had an opportunity to speak with Scott Chen, vice president of the APAC Business Division of Kingston Technology. Under discussion were general trends in the DRAM-module industry and Kingston’s own development, including the status of its new plant in China, claimed to be the largest DRAM-module manufacturing site in the world.
