Matsushita announces development of industry's most power-efficient MPEG-4 multi-codec LSI
On May 29, Matsushita Electric Industrial, best known worldwide for its Panasonic-brand products, and its principal subsidiary Matsushita Communication Industrial announced the development of the industry's most power-efficient MPEG-4 multi-codec LSI for use in mobile phone systems including W-CDMA, PDC and PHS. Samples will be shipped in July for 6,000 yen.
