MSI 925X Neo Platinum, Continued

Market Survey, Part 2: Six Premium Pentium 4 LGA775 Boards
By

MSI has only given the processor a 3-phase power converter. Four phases are now standard for P4 motherboards, even though this would only make a difference under constant maximum load.

MSI was a little chintzy here, giving only one of the LAN connections Gigabit speed.

Broadcom's 5751KFB is used as a Gigabit controller on a PCI-Express port.

The C-Media CMI9880 provides the board with 8-channel sound.

The accessories are a bit spartan for a board named a "Platinum Edition". Also, for round cables they simply stuck regular old flat cables into a plastic sheath, which makes the cable really stiff and inflexible.
