MSI 925X Neo Platinum, Continued

A good number of overclocking options is provided. MSI unfortunately does not let you unlock the x14 multiplier via the performance requirement bit for fast 3.6 GHz P4 processors and up.

Take note: if the board is using the "Optimized" BIOS option, the front side bus gets overclocked by 2 MHz, and the graphics card does too. In our case this was an NVIDIA 6800 GT, which put it above its specifications.

The board sports a FireWire chip from VIA. The VT6306 offers three 1394 connections at 400 Mbits/s.

The VIA VT6410 adds on another four UltraATA channels and works with ATA133 and RAID modes 0, 1 and 0+1.
