Mario and Sonic to appear in olympic game together
Tokyo (Japan) - In their first joint appearance in a video game, Mario and Sonic are both headed to a new olympics game due out this Christmas.
"For the first time, two of the world’s greatest games’ characters come together to compete in the world’s greatest sporting event and we couldn’t be more excited," said Sega president Hisao Oguchi.
"Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games" will make its way to the Nintendo Wii and DS in time for Christmas. Ever since Sega became a third-party developer, fans of both Mario and Sonic have been begging for a game featuring the two icons together.
The game is being developed by Sega and has received official licensing from the International Olympic Committee via International Sports Multimedia.
