Major memory makers to ramp up 12" capacity ahead of schedule

Major DRAM makers are currently gearing up their respective 12" capacities, with some makers eyeing niche markets to spread their risks in the market. DRAMeXchange predicts that Samsung, Japan-based Elpida Memory and Taiwan-based Inotera (a joint venture between Infineon Technologies and Nanya Technology), will all ramp up capacity at their 12" fabs ahead of schedule. And tight supply of DRAM will ease after October, as 12" capacity ramps up.
