GTX470 or better? 9800GTx or better?
2,4GHz Quads or better?
Sh*t! Those are expensive! If the graphic is not ultra super duper good, not many will buy that game!
At home, even I have only 1 PC that can handle that..my other 3 ...well...way below the requirements.

What :o Thats my PC ruled out in one! I'm still using my modest 9800GTX+ :) Am using a 2.4Ghz+ OC'd 3Ghz Quad core though.

So a GTX 460, a card which is likely going sell like hotcakes, is not going to be enough to give to get the proper framerates in PhysX on medium settings? Pretty stupid on 2K's part if you ask me.

If my card can handle Dirt 2 on max settings with 40-80 fps (GTX 285), then a bit PhysX won't harm him :P

I bet this is just some kind of 'ad' to make people buy the expensive cards :P

And in case you hate retarded controls and your PC can't have everything turned on, you can still likely play at much higher resolution and much higher details than any of the consoles on your PC, but you will have to turn down some visuals. In case you have a pc that is older than 4 years, you could probably get one that will play this game at same or better specs than any of the consoles, for the fraction of the console price.

It sounds about right to me if you compare it to Batman AA and Dark Void. To have physx in high they recomended a dedicated gtx260 and there wasn`t really a lot of physx in the games compared to the videos i have seen of mafia 2.
I have a i7 920, gtx470 and 8800gts512 + 3d vision so i can`t wait to try this game out :)

Well upgrade time is looming for me. I guess my thought of using one of my old 8800GT's for PhysX along with a 470 might not be "good enough" lol. I wouldn't mind a new really taxing game that we actually need all this hardware to run at max settings

I thought my i7 860 system would be the bomb when my GTX470 arrives later on this week to relegate my 9800 GT to dedicated physx. Now I don't know how it ever ran any games at all XD

If my i7-920 and 5970 don't run this shit...i will be pissed. Screw PhysX...overrated, over advertised selling point for not much improvement.

This is just bs. I bet this game will run on max settings at around 40 50 FPS with a phenom iix4 at 3gh and a nice 5870. (which I don't have)

but at what resolution? i have a 24", 2.83ghz quad and 9800gx2, its a little better than recommended, but i'm afraid it wont be enough at 1920*1080 :s

way to go. Lets price out 90% of PC gamers, because they could not afford to upgrade to those specs just for 1 game. My CPU would probably be ok (c2d e6300 1.86 Ghz, OC'D to 3.3 gHZ) and gfx ATI HD4850, and I was considering upgrading that, but not to those levels for max settings. But I only want to upgrade to something that can give me damn close to max settings. This will cost a bloody fortune.

May just buy myself a PS3 so I don't have to upgrade every two years.

You do realize that with ati 4850 you will have graphic quality ps3 and xbox can only dream about, right? That card alone is 10x faster than ps3 and xbox put togather, their CPUs and GPUs included.
