EA's Madden NFL scores $100 million in revenues in first week.
More than two million boxes of Electronic Arts’ Madden NFL 07 were sold within the first weeks after launch. Revenues of the game were estimated at more than two million, exceeding the sales of previous versions of the franchise. Madden NFL 07 are up 12% over the 1.8 million units sold in a comparable period last year EA said.
Within the first week, gamers logged more than two million hours of online game play, which equals about of 228 years of online gaming in less than a week, EA reported.
